    Yes, we are still doing closings!

    Problem: The "6-Foot" Rule

    It's recommended by health authorities that we maintain

    6 feet of distance between people in our office. Unfortunately, that means we can't meet across our closing table or have folks in our waiting room as we normally would. So we are handling closings using a different method as described below. This works surprisingly well. It helps to protect against spreading COVID for the sake of everyone's health, but also importantly helps to avoid the problem of being required to quarantine in case of exposure to someone who later tests positive - whether that is you or us.

    Solution: Curbside Closings

    As many local title companies have done, we have gone to a "curbside" model for closings. If you are closing with us you will receive an email or other communication with details about how this will work prior to your closing time. If timing allows, we may be able to FedEx documents ahead of time for you to sign in the comfort of your home. All signers would then deliver them in person to our office so that we can legally notarized your signatures. This seems unusual compared to the traditional way of closing, but it has been well-received and usually takes less time than a traditional closing.

    Escrow Services of Tennessee, LLC is a locally owned and operated real estate title and closing company. We close real estate transactions and issue title insurance for both residential and commercial property. Our core team has worked together since January 1, 2000. Our owners and co-workers live here, in Nashville, Franklin, and Thompson's Station. We know and love the area, its neighborhoods, and its people.

     

    We pride ourselves in providing excellent and efficient real estate closing services with professionalism, but without the stuffiness you might find in some title companies or law firms. No suits and ties, and no trying to impress you with big bookcases full of legal publications. Buying, selling, borrowing, and moving can be stressful. We want our customers and their realtors and lenders to feel comfortable and relaxed while they are with us, while still fully understanding their transactions. A closing should be a happy time for all involved, not scary or intimidating.

     

    Our customers are in Nashville, Franklin, and Middle Tennessee primarily, but we can and do close deals everywhere in the state of Tennessee. We don’t mind coming to you for closing when you need us to.
